About
Kenny Grimmond brings together more than a decade of equine dentistry experience and a lifetime dedicated to understanding horses.
His approach extends far beyond treating teeth. With extensive experience across racing, training, polocrosse and international horse transport, Kenny understands how dental comfort can influence a horse’s behaviour, condition, performance and overall wellbeing.
Known for his calm presence and quiet confidence, Kenny takes the time to understand every horse as an individual—providing thoughtful, thorough care without unnecessary force or stress.
Built Through Experience
After a serious racing injury in 2014 temporarily placed him in a wheelchair, Kenny turned a challenging period into an opportunity to further his knowledge of horses. During his recovery, he pursued equine dentistry studies under Dr Peter Borgdorff and the National Equine Dental Practitioners.
That education, combined with decades of practical horsemanship, shaped the gentle and considered methods Kenny uses today. His work is grounded in patience, precision and an understanding that quality dental care begins with earning the horse’s trust.
Proven in the Saddle
Kenny has competed in polocrosse at national level, representing both New South Wales and Victoria. He became the first player to win two Men’s National Championships for two different states, receiving Champion Horse honours on both occasions.
His experience has also taken him overseas to play and coach in New Zealand and England. Beyond competition, Kenny has worked extensively within the thoroughbred industry, including transporting horses throughout Australia and Asia as an international airfreight groom.
This breadth of experience gives Kenny a practical understanding of horses across different disciplines, temperaments and levels of performance.
